Aphasia is the loss of ability to understand our express speech and it's caused by brain damage. This is what many brain injury survivors go through and it's frustrating. Imagine knowing west you want to say but can't figure out how to get your mouth to say it, but that very mouth repeats the same word over and over again. Relearning how to talk and information can be trying, but somebody has to do it.
Aphasia has been known to happen to human brains that may be growing a tumor, brain trauma, or infections. Please pay attention and get routine doctor check ups! Aphasia can be mild or extremely severe, making communication almost impossible. There are groups on Facebook and you can always reach out to SNU for more resources near you.
