My Thoughts

So I figured I do something a little different today. I’ve been writing more poetry lately and I wanted to share this one with y’all.

There is a burning desire inside of me that I’m trying to reach

As I pursue new challenges every day that are unique.

I travel on this road feeling like I’m in control

But my brain does not agree, man that feeling never gets old.

I use these words to describe how I feel

These thoughts are slick and slippery almost like an eel.

They come and go like traffic on the interstate

A blurred timeline of days and moments, so I take time to appreciate.

My story is not done.

The pages are still being written.

I’m a survivor of life like a lion raised from a kitten.
